ST. LOUIS – Show Me Hospitality, LLC, area developer for Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop in the greater St. Louis area, is pleased to announce a new restaurant location within the midtown Cortex District at 4249 Clayton Road (corner of Clayton Road and Boyle Avenue) located in the BJC @ The Commons building. The restaurant, scheduled to open in October, will be approximately 3,000 square feet with seating for 100 and employ about 50 people.
“Bringing Tim Hortons to this area of St. Louis is an important amenity to the Cortex District,” said Eric Sigurdson, President of Show Me Hospitality LLC. “We know the workers in the area along with the surrounding neighborhoods will love our iconic coffee, wide variety of baked goods, broad breakfast and lunch menu, and welcoming atmosphere. And our location, right off Highway 40 at Boyle, will be a convenient stop for many on the way to and from downtown.”
The restaurant will feature a “quick-casual” design, with the promise of always fresh coffee in a relaxing environment that includes comfortable seating, a fireplace and outdoor patio. The menu offers hot and cold beverages and food choices for all hours of the day, from breakfast, to lunch, to all day snacking. The restaurant will also offer a full line of catering options with local delivery.
Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop worked with BJC HealthCare, the owner of BJC @ The Commons to incorporate the restaurant into the current employee social hub space of the building. “We are pleased that our BJC @ The Commons site was selected as the restaurant location within the growing Cortex corridor,” said Chris Watts, BJC vice president, planning and construction. “This will provide a convenient dining option for our employees who work in The Commons, as well as throughout the medical center campus. The new restaurant also will help build the vibrant pedestrian atmosphere envisioned for the greater Cortex community.”
Mayor Francis Slay said he’s happy to welcome Tim Horton Cafe & Bake Shop to the City of St. Louis. “The Cortex district continues to add quality businesses that draw people in, add to the fabric of the neighborhood, and create new jobs,” said Mayor Slay.
The announcement of the Tim Hortons Cortex location comes on the heels of the recent opening of the company’s first St. Louis area restaurants in Maplewood and Frontenac.
